Your attic should have a proper intake and exhaust system which will allow for proper airflow. Do all your exhausted vents, bathroom vents, dryer vents and range hoods vent correctly out of your attic? This will help to avoid condensation as well as mold build up and costly future repairs.



New Innovations

There have been many new innovations and products in the roofing industry. Here are a few.

Underlay's have come a long way, there are various upgrades to the standard felt underlay. Feltex under metal allows for proper breathing while retaining water repelling capabilities.

Fiberglass mat shingles. These are an upgrade over the old organic shingles. Most of these shingles offer an algae resistance system incorporated into the granules, which is something to consider with our wet West Coast Weather.
